Anne-Sophie & Frederik, right from our initial contact at their wedding venue Hof Ten Steen (one of my favorite venues I love working with) it just clicked. I couldn’t wait to capture their energy since we started planning this unique engagement session together.
My bride Anne-Sophie has the most amazing style and was inspired by some of my editorials which I organized last year as she infused their engagement session with some floral designs with just that style. She asked her florist to adorn her bicycle and make a beautiful bouquet with fuchsia pink roses and lot’s of greens.
Her bicycle probably never looked this beautiful adorned with flowers & greenery and I loved it! During the portrait session she told me that she would be going for a ride in the country with Frederik later on that Sunday with her bicycle all looking elegant & romantic. Don’t you just love that about her?
For this beautiful engagement session with its Sunday morning ease, I asked them to meet me early that morning, to capture some intimate portraits and continue on during golden hour right after sunrise.
I arranged a little impromptu breakfast for them at the Abbey of Averbode, with Champagne and in French picnic style.
Afterwards we went for a little walk on the square of the abbey to capture some ethereal shots of them, in the reflections of the water and underneath the Magnolia and ended our walk into the surrounding fields for some soft portraits with that gorgeous golden hallow.
Speaking of the perfect Sunday..
So as we keep looking back at these gorgeous moments, we are getting ever more so excited to continue planning their wedding coverage together in September.
Many congratulations to the happy couple A & F , see you soon!
